RE. PRE-AUG.97 AND FAMILY PENSIONERS NOT PAID INTERIM RELIEF

I note from one of the reports published in Eastern News magazine that a few pre-August 1997 retiree-members of  Kolkata Association and all the family pensioners are yet to receive the interim relief even after almost seven months after the SC Order dt 7/5/2015. The position in respect of retiree-members may not be much different in other parts of the country. Even if one eligible pensioner has not been paid the interim relief, LIC is undoubtedly guilty of committing contempt of the Supreme Court's 7th May 2015 interim order.

A vast mass of about 10000 pre-August 1997 retirees who may be only surviving today (not to speak of family pensioners) may be helplessly wondering what is in store for them.

I am sure this issue of grave concern will figure seriously in the Class I Retirees' Federation's General Council Meeting  to be held at Bengaluru on 7th December 2015 in order to help the deprived pensioners.

Kind regards.
